Embodied Leader Programme

Most of us spend 99% of our time in our heads. Thinking, analysing, strategising, worrying. But the best decisions don’t come from overthinking. They come when you’re grounded, clear, and tuned into the wisdom that lives in the present moment. This wisdom is accessed via your body because your body is always present.

This one-day-per-month programme for founders and leaders in the South West of the UK has been created to help you tap into that wisdom, transforming the way you lead from the inside out.

What to Expect

The day will be broken into three parts:

Part 1. Exploring Your Biggest Challenges

In the morning: With the support of seasoned peers, we’ll create a space for honest conversations. Bring the deepest, gnarliest, most foxing challenges you’re facing – whether they’re business focused, existential, or just that nagging sense that something isn’t flowing. Assuming you invite it… you’ll be offered fresh perspectives, and practical problem-solving. You’ll leave with insights you can act on, new ways of thinking, and support to help you move forward.

Part 2. Learning to Embody your Leadership

In the afternoon: We’ll have a session featuring a carefully curated facilitator who is best-in-class at what they do, they will guide an embodiment practice or workshop. Whether it’s Breathwork, Shamanic Yoga, Nonviolent Communication, Sacred Combat, or another powerful approach, these sessions help you cultivate deeper self-awareness, resilience, and authenticity. These tools won’t just support your leadership they will support you in emptying out Fear; Anger; Grief; Pain and Shame – the benefits of this will be available across all areas of your life.

Part 3. Unwinding Over Dinner

In the evening: We close the day with a shared meal in a private dining room – an opportunity to relax, deepen connections, and build relationships beyond the work.

The programme is designed to support you with your leadership challenges, cultivate a depth of presence and form a tight, safe container of peer support. This will reduce the isolation that can be experienced in leadership.

What’s Involved

Carefully curated facilitators will introduce you to a range of embodied practices designed to develop clarity, resilience, and presence in your leadership. Rather than giving you more to think about, these experiences shift how you engage with challenges, helping you move with greater confidence, focus, and ease.

Each session will explore different modalities, from movement and breathwork to frameworks and somatic practices. These experiences are designed to take you beyond intellectual understanding and into a deeper, more intuitive way of being and leading.

Below you’ll find information about some of what we’ll be doing together.

Jez teaching breathwork

Breathwork

Life doesn’t always give us space to process our emotions. Grief, shame, fear, frustration – these feelings can get stuck in our system, leaving us feeling reactive, overwhelmed, or blocked. Breathwork offers a powerful way to clear out what’s been weighing you down, creating space for clarity, calm, and even moments of elation.

Jez Grattan-Kane, our breathwork facilitator, brings a deep understanding of movement, psychology, and trauma release to this practice. His compassionate, grounded approach creates a safe space for you to explore deeply and unlock a sense of inner freedom. By reconnecting with this most fundamental life force, you’ll gain tools to handle stress, make decisions from a place of calm, and lead with authenticity.

Shamanic Yoga

This form of Yoga isn’t just about physical postures; it’s a practice of presence, ritual, and grounding. As a leader, finding stability in yourself is key to navigating challenges and supporting others. Yoga helps condition your nervous system, creating more capacity to respond thoughtfully under pressure.

Led by Fay, a senior yoga teacher with a unique blend of sound healing and shamanic practice, this session is designed to bring you out of your head and into your body. Fay’s teaching is immersive, with live music, chanting, and intentional movement that fosters deep relaxation and connection. This isn’t a traditional yoga class, Fay will help you create space within yourself to feel grounded, stable, and alive.

Parts Work

We all have different aspects of ourselves – one that drives us forward, another that holds back in fear. Parts work helps you recognise these inner dynamics, so you can move away from self-doubt or internal conflict. By working with these Parts instead of against them, you’ll cultivate greater clarity, confidence, and self-trust in how you lead.

Nonviolent Communication book

Nonviolent Communication (NVC)

Navigating high-pressure environments requires clarity and connection. NVC offers a framework for understanding what’s really driving a situation, helping you move through challenges with greater ease. By deepening emotional intelligence and refining how you engage with others, it creates the conditions for more effective, authentic leadership.

Why These Tools?

These carefully selected practitioners and tools invite you to step out of autopilot and reconnect with your natural state of peace and presence. These practices not only help you access the calm, creative part of yourself but are also backed by neuroscience. Engaging in movement and breathwork calms the brain’s fear center (the amygdala) while activating the prefrontal cortex, enhancing decision-making, creativity, and emotional regulation—essential qualities for grounded and authentic leadership.

James has chosen facilitators who don’t just teach; they create transformative experiences. James has had personal experiences with each person, and knows that they are the best at what they do, and are here to guide you into practices that will leave you more centred, energised, and equipped to face whatever leadership throws your way. And, you’ll be able to continue working with them should you wish.

As you’ve been reading about the Embodied Leader programme, you might have felt a mix of interest and hesitation. Perhaps some parts sounded exciting, while others made you uneasy. Maybe you’ve caught yourself thinking, “This isn’t for me,” or feeling unsure about certain elements, like breathwork, or movement.

It can happen that fear shows up in these ways. It can disguise itself as doubt, boredom, or even ambivalence. Fear of the unfamiliar, or of stepping out of your comfort zone, often feels vulnerable and to keep ourselves ‘safe’ Parts of us put up resistance.

“Make your choices wisely, because each choice you make is a creative act of spiritual power for which you are held responsible.

Further, any choice made from faith has the full power of heaven behind it—which is why “faith the size of a mustard seed can move a mountain.” And any choice made from fear is a violation of the energy of faith.
